Loomis State Of The Town Speech----Utter Nonsense

I believe our readers are smart enough to know what is going on in Town Hall.

An article in The Explorer deals with "The State of The Town" speech given by Loomis.

Can anyone who has any inkling whatsoever as to the May 27, 2009 Council meeting, when Loomis, Carter, Kunisch & Abbott raided our contingency fund, put ANY CREDENCE in Loomis's remarks.

A few of the more egregious comments from Loomis:

"Oro Valley simply cannot spend more than it receives."

He consistently violates that credo. Examples---no cop layoffs. More donations to his friends in the business community under the guise of "funding" with taxpayers money

"We have reduced our workforce by 35 positions and therefore been able to make up our operating budget shortfall without having to pull funds from our reserves."

Loomis has the audacity to take credit for an idea put forth by Bill Garner to offer severance packages to willing employees. Loomis was against this idea.

Loomis led the charge of RAIDING our contingency fund---what he refers to as "our reserves" and can say with a straight face, we didn't do it. What gall!

Loomis says; "I want you to know that the State of Oro Valley is strong."

The state of Oro Valley, as a result of Loomis's actions is now in a "State of Disarray."
Vindictiveness is running rampant by Loomis & his three---Carter, Kunisch & Abbott.

Here's the Explorer article., but remember, the truth will be found here on our blog!

After the Study Session/Special Session where David Andrews was forced to resign I decided not to waste my money attending the State of the Town.

That meeting told me what I needed to know about the state of our town.

A change in leadership.
