This past Monday, while doing his favorite thing, playing softball, Don Harris, an Oro Valley resident, passed on. Don was the manager of the Oro Valley Senior Softball team. He also created the Oro Valley-based Monday Senior League, which plays at Kreigh Park, and includes a second Oro Valley based team that Don helped foster. Don also fielded an Oro Valley Senior Softball Team in the Men's Tucson Thursday league.
Don made a difference.
I had the pleasure of playing with Don, as a player on his team. Art and I played against on another team. Whether you were on his team or not, Don was always a gentleman. His passion was Softball. The game will miss him.
