We believe the Oro Valley Council chambers will be filled to capacity on Wed. June 17 (see agenda on left column for details.)
Item 2 - PUBLIC HEARING - RESOLUTION NO. (R)09 - 34 ADOPTION OF FINAL FISCAL YEAR 2009/2010 TOWN OF ORO VALLEY ANNUAL BUDGET AND FIVE-YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN FOR FISCAL YEARS 2009/2010 THROUGH 2012/2014
item 3 - ACCEPTANCE OF THE REPORT OF THE ORO VALLEY LIBRARY REVIEW COMMITTEE, FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
We can be pretty sure many of the Oro Valley employees will be interested in the council decision on the 2009-2010 budget as the decision can impact the status of the work force.
As for the library issue, the Friends of the Library and others that have a vested interest will surely want to have their voices heard as to whether or not Oro Valley turns the library over to Pima County in order to save in excess of $600,000 in double taxes.
If you are interested in how your tax dollars are spent, it would behoove you to attend and have your voice heard---regardless of which side of the issue you are on.

I hope OV voters know they are grossly overpaying to have the local library run by OV employees. By allowing the county to manage the library OV residents will reduce the number of OV employees AND save over half a million dollars!
