The comment was in response to me noting:
"If a candidate we are talking to decides to run, that candidate will have a 100% endorsement from us. We believe most citizens would agree with our assessment."
Boobie-baby had this to say:
Art, if you are talking about 100% endorsement "from us," does that mean that you are registering the blog as a political action committee? Be careful of the legalities here, as you well know.
Too bad Boobie doesn't take the time to read what is on the left column of the blog.
A Victory For Free Speech: Oro Valley Government vs. Love
The Town Clerk told us we "must" register as a Political Committee. We said no. We are not a political organization raising funds for candidates. We're just two guys focused on bringing positive change to Oro Valley. And we have a right to support whomever we want.
Along those lines, Boobie and our other readers might be interested in the following excerpt from the prestigious Goldwater Institute's 2008 annual report. Please scroll to page 11.

Art,
Thank you for defending your right for free speech, endorsing the candidate(s) who support your issues, and prevailing in your stand that Constitutional rights are upheld in Oro Valley.
PS. Great photo, Art.
Boo-bie Baby,
How did you miss this significant event?
Hey, I was just sending a reminder, not questioning anyone's right to free speech. I presume, Art, that you don't want to fight the battle again--that's all. My comment was posted in all sincerity.
boobie-baby--- "WRONG" To quote my friend Clint Bolick, Director of the Goldwater Institute's outstanding legal group, "I would relish the opportunity."
The town spent taxpayer's money on this frivolous issue once. It's doubtful they'll "go down that path a second time," regardless of your presumption.
Actually thanks for the reminder Boobie baby.
Brings back some bad memories of what was going on town at the time and how much we have improved :))
As long as the blog is not soliciting for financial contributions then it is not considered a PAC.
Thanks again to the GI and of course for Art and Zeeman for hosting the blog
(Sigh).
Different year; different Council; different Town Attorney. Beware.
Boobie-baby,
If memory serves me right, the Town consulted with outside attorney about this Constitutional issue and stopped dead in its tracks.
Could it be that their expert told them, they were wrong?
Thanks for your concern boobie. Too bad you're not the town attorney, or at least an OV consultant.
We'd love to see you in court!!!
This year, this Council(majority) & this Town Attorney have a lot more sense than to "bark up that tree again."
Oh! By the way--- at the appropriate time, we will be endorsing worthy candidates--without any fear of repercussions!
As you wish, Art.
Darn--you're ornery.
boobie---- So you think I'm "ornery."
Last time you used an adjective describing me, it was "bigoted."
What might be coming next? I can hardly wait.
Oh---by the way----thanks for keeping this issue in the forefront.
Your references to Hispanics from the south part of Tucson were, in my opinion, bigoted when they were posted. That's past history, but the fact that you recalled it indicates that, perhaps, you may be a tad sensitive. (There's another adjective you can add to your list. "Sensitive." Now what fault can you find with that?)
That has no bearing on the suggestion that I made that this blog's "endorsements" of Council candidates may raise the eyebrows of public officials again.
You can take or reject the advice as you see fit.
Boobie--- You're either a damn liar or a damn fool! You point out where I referred to "Hispanic" before you mouth off. You inferences are worthless, as is your advice!
B-b
"Different year, different Council, different Town Attorney. Beware(?).
Huh? SAME CONSTITUTION boobie -baby!!!
