Dankwerth's Ads Do Not Tell It All

Like Terry Parish, Helen Dankwerth also thinks she can take out ads in The Explorer and fool the citizens.

The only difference with Dankwerth's ads & those of Parish, is hers is only a 1/4 page, not 1/2.
That's understandable in that Dankwerth isn't getting a windfall of cash from Vestar and the other developers.

But---let's not lose sight of the fact that Dankwertth & Parish vote the same way on almost every issue that benefits the developers, at the expense of the citizens.

Like Parish, Dankwerth pushed through the Golder Ranch Fire District take over of the town hall facilities within one month of taking office after being supported by GRFD in her original election bid.

It was Dankwerth who did her damnedest to get the Utility Tax passed after it was twice defeated. Who can forget her words: "A half a loaf is better than none at all." Forget the fact the citizens got their gas, water & electric bills taxed. That's not Dankwerth's concern. She can afford it!

And then there was her other infamous quote in giving Sanofil-Aventis, the $39 Billion Pharmaceutical Company $360,000 in a construction tax rebate. Dankwerth said: 'It's only a MINUSCULE amount!"

When voting for a 60 foot hotel not permitted by the code, Dankwerth, in essence said, I'm against it, but will vote for it anyway.

As with Parish----there are plenty of more reasons not to vote for Dankwerth. We believe our citizens are too smart and will send Dankwerth packing.

Terry Parish Spending Vestar's Money To "Try & Buy Your Vote

In case you missed it, Terry Parish is spending the money from Vestar trying to buy the election. Who can blame Parish or Vestar. After all, "one good turn deserves another." Vestar pays for Parish's feeble attempt to get elected. Parish pays Vestar by voting for anything they need.

As we noted in a previous post---- it's nothing but a "quid pro quo." "You rub my back; I'll rub yours."

Too bad the latest 1/2 page ad in The Explorer doesn't tell the voters the facts.

Like---- Terry Parish works for the developers and the Golder Ranch Fire District while telling the citizens he can't worry about them.

That's why Parish voted for GRFD to take over Town Hall causing our rates to increase by as much as 100% or more.

That's why Parish voted for a Utility Tax to hire more police. You never know. When he retires from the Sheriff's Department, perhaps the OV Police Chief can hire him to patrol Vestar's OV Marketplace.

That's why Parish insisted we pay Sanofil-Aventis $360,000 so they could move to their larger quarters.

That's why Parish pushed and pushed to spend $160M for a glorified park befitting a community the size of NYC---not Oro Valley.

That's why Parish voted for a 60 foot hotel when the code said no hotel and no structure higher than 36 feet.

There's so much more.

However, we believe our citizens are too smart to buy into the Parish/Vestar ads.

Neighborhood Two In Rancho Vistoso About To Get "Zapped" Again

Our neighbors in Neighborhood Two of Rancho Vistoso received no help whatsoever from their government when the Crematorium got approved recently.

Well----their problems continue. Less than two years ago, Anthem Development told the neighbors they would be building eight, 25 foot tall office and other buildings along RV Blvd. & Vistoso Village Dr.

That was then. This is now. Their new plan has grown from eight buildings to fourteen. The height has increased from 25 feet to 36 feet.

No big deal-----unless, of course you own one of the homes that have views of the Catalina Mountains, but will soon have views of stucco and 3 story buildings.

Oh well. The citizens once again get "zapped." No different than those behind the Ace Hardware on First Ave & Tangerine or those neighbors across from the 4 story Splendido.

Yeah! We know. "Buyer beware!" Don't count of your Town Council to fight for the citizens. They're too busy looking out for the developers!
