Nancy Young Wright Appointed To Serve Us In The Arizona House Of Representatives

Congratulations to Nancy. We wish her well in her new position of representing us from District 26 which serves Oro Valley, the Foothills, part of Marana and the southern tip of Pinal County.

Flowers to Nancy Young Wright, whom the Pima County Board of
Supervisors selected Friday to fill the state legislative seat of Lena S.
Saradnik, after she resigned to recover from a stroke.
The Democrat will represent District 26, which includes parts of the
Foothills, Marana and Oro Valley. Young Wright is a three-time member of
the Amphitheater School Board.
Young Wright is no stranger to taking on powerful interests — she has
fought Oro Valley on environmental causes and, as a parent volunteer,
helped force the Amphi governing board to include a call to the public in
its meetings. She is a tireless advocate for open government, public
education, children and the environment. She doesn't take the easy road on
important issues and she will have her work cut out for her in the
Legislature. We're confident in her abilities to serve Arizona.

We're happy for her, too. We just wish she had won the mayoral election last time here in Oro Valley. We would be a great deal better off!
