More on "Will The Council Buckle On Water Fees"
As we predicted yesterday ("Wlll The Council Buckle..."), developers, at last night's Town Council meeting, said that an increase in water fees would make building here in Oro Valley too expensive. Click here to read the article on this in the Arizona Daily Star. The developers contention, of course, is hogwash. People will build here as long as they can make a profit. And building in Oro Valley will be very profitable if we have an assured, safe water supply. And that is what the increased fees are all about. We're all going to pay to bring CAP and reclaimed water to Oro Valley.
Time for all of us, developers included, to step up to the plate to get the job done.
